Take the Diasbahn cable-car from Kappl to the Sunny Mountain adventure park, located 1,830 metres above sea level. The return path leads over lush mountain pastures back to Kappl.
Birkhahnbahn cable-car mountain station - Kopsstausee reservoir lake - Zeinisjoch ridge - Galtuer – intermediate tour – 1 hour
Family hiking in the Tyrolean mountains has never been more enjoyable. Let the chair lift take you to the Birkhahnbahn mountain station at 2,213 metres above sea level. The trail then descends past the Breitspitzbahn cable-car to the lake promenade of the Kopsstausee reservoir lake. Next, you can either turn left and hike over the dam to the Kopsstausee reservoir lake or go right along the lake shore to the Zeinisjoch inn.
The Zeinisjoch ridge mountain pass borders the Austrian provinces of Tyrol and Vorarlberg. Treat yourself to a tasty snack at the chalet and enjoy the marvellous view of the Kopsstausee reservoir lake and the impressive mountain scenery.
Idalpe Alpine pasture - Paznauner Thaya Alpine pasture – easy tour – 1 to 1.5 hours
The cable-car is a great advantage during family hikes in Tyrol, conveniently and safely taking you and your children to the Idalpe Alpine pasture at 2,308 metres above sea level. Here originates the hiking trail down to the Hoellkar ridge past the Videralpe Alpine pasture. Continue your hike by heading for Sassgalun to the Paznauner Thaya Alpine pasture. Blooming Alpine roses are a marvellous sight, especially at the end of June. Follow the trail to the middle station of the cable-car to Ischgl. The Paznauner Thaya is a popular Alpine pasture. Indulge in regional specialities during a break.
