First tracks in the snow
Early in the morning on the Latten run
Only in Kappl - long before lifts started in the neighbouring towns, in the sunniest ski area in the valley you could already leave the first tracks in the superb white snow. Every Monday the Dias-, Alblitt- and Alblittkopfbahn cable cars start up at 8 a.m. for this very purpose. An experienced guide from Kappl Aktiv ski school accompanies winter athletes who just can't get enough of the splendid whiteness, as they carve their turns on the freshly prepared pistes. The 2700 metre high Alblittkopf marks the starting point of the 8 kilometre long Lattenabfahrt. In the mornings in particular, with the pistes in their untouched state, this excursion to up above 1600 metres altitude is an extra special treat.
With a valid ski pass skiers and snowboarders get to enjoy this unforgettable pleasure without having to register in advance.
Trips to make these first tracks in the snow take place when the weather permits, i.e. when the weather is good, and always on Mondays throughout the winter season.
