Rethinking the tried and tested

Sometimes progress also means rethinking the tried and tested. This is also the case with our “Familienglück” project, which is currently being built in See with a very special foundation - the former Höllbodenbahn from Ischgl.

The Höllbodenbahn is now ready for its new use and the dismantling in Ischgl has now been successfully completed. The lift was dismantled with great sensitivity and technical expertise and its valuable components were transported to See for temporary storage. Here, it is now waiting to be completely overhauled and, following the dismantling of the Rossmossbahn, to provide its services once again - this time as part of the family experience under the name “Family Happiness”

The reuse of the Höllbodenbahn in the “Familienglück” project is not only a logistical masterpiece, but also a clear commitment to sustainability. Instead of opting for a completely new cable car, we are combining proven quality with a modern utilization concept. This saves resources, protects the environment and at the same time brings a ropeway with history back into active operation.

Preview - Familienglück

Before we start the construction blog, we would like to briefly present the “Familienglück” project. In addition to the cable car, a 150m-long covered conveyor belt is also being built to provide an easy alternative for beginners. A new “Family Snowpark” is also being built, a snowpark with jumps, boxes, tubes and funslope elements to bring even more variety to the ski area. After the Rossmoosbahn lift is also dismantled, an additional and attractive range of slopes will be created so as not to restrict the variety of runs and bring even more fun on the slopes to the ski area.

Let's go!

Arrived in See

The first steps

The logistical feat of bringing the components of the old lady from Ischgl to See has now been accomplished. The components of the “Familienglück” cable car are safely stored in See and are now waiting for a general overhaul and a new coat of paint. True to the motto “Rise like a Phoenix”, the “Familienglück” train will gradually rise like the Phoenix from the ashes. Before that, however, the Rossmoosbahn must be completely dismantled. We will keep you up to date on the next steps in our blog.
