Dear guests,

We are all very much looking forward to welcoming you to Paznaun and its resorts of Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See this coming winter!

The winter holiday period of 2020/21 naturally throws up many questions. And we are happy to answer them all for you. But first the good news: a winter holiday is indeed possible in the 2020/21 season!

We have learned from the past and created a health management system that goes far beyond the official requirements in order to be able to guarantee the safety and health of our many guests from all over the world as well as for the employees and locals. We are putting all our efforts into becoming one of the safest winter destinations! Health and safety are a top priority in the Paznaun-Ischgl region. Let’s look out for one another!

We are looking forward to welcoming you!

HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES WINTER 2020/2021

 WINTER SEASON START 2020/2021
The winter season starts in Ischgl from 17.12.2020.
However, there will be no Top of the Mountain Opening Concert or any other opening event. Galtür, Kappl and See starts into the winter season on December 18. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon again.

SAFETY IN THE SKI RESORTS
The cable car companies in Paznaun and Samnaun are also offering a comprehensive package of measures in the ski resorts in addition to the legal regulations to enable enjoyable and relaxing days of skiing. You can look forward to a lot of nature and space in the whole Paznaun valley.

APRÈS-SKI MEASURES
In winter 20/21, there will be no après-ski in its usual form. Both indoors and outdoors, the rule applies that consumption is only allowed when seated. But this also means that it is still possible to enjoy a beer with your friends  - even though in a different form.

iSKI ISCHGL/GALTÜR/KAPPL/SEE & MYSAMNAUN APPS
With the start of the winter season 20/21, a new app will be available for each village in Paznaun valley - personalized. With the registration, every user receives his personalized QR code. This ensures easy and quick entry into the catering establishments in Paznaun/Samnaun. This means that in future you will not only be able to find out the latest information about the entire range of winter sports on site with just a few clicks, but you will also be able to quickly and easily check in at the respective restaurant - whether on the mountain or in the valley. Have fun!

BOOKING & CANCELLATION OPTIONS
We recommend taking out travel insurance for the coming winter season. This now insures against Covid-19 as well as any other unexpected serious illness. Our accommodations offers the chance to take out travel insurance with ‘Europäische Reiseversicherung’ at the point of reservation. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact us. Special information on COVID-19

SECURE GUEST CHECK-IN
We recommend that guests present a negative test result no more than 72 hours old when they check in. Guests without a test result have the option to undertake a voluntary test on-site - liable to pay costs. Temperature measurements will be taken when checking into the accommodation and a short questionnaire should be completed. Thank you for your cooperation!

 EMPLOYEE TESTING
Employees will be tested upon arrival when they start work. Regular testing opportunities are also provided.

SEWAGE MONITORING
Ongoing sewage testing will take place in collaboration with the Tyrolean state government and University of Innsbruck, enabling potential infection to be identified at an early stage with a high level of accuracy and thereby considerably improving prevention.

CORONA SAFETY OFFICIALS
The community of Ischgl, the Paznaun-Ischgl tourist board, the Silvrettaseilbahn AG cable car company and other establishments have appointed trained Corona safety officials who ensure that the latest regulations are being followed and immediately implemented.

In the event of forced closure of the cable car facilities, border closure or travel warnings due to COVID-19, when the relevant official directives last until the planned end of the winter season, the following refund arrangements apply:

  • For multi-day ski passes and for day ski passes whose period of validity includes days that could have been used up until closure of facilities, the difference of the purchase price will be refunded.

Refund amount = Ticket price – Ski pass price for days used
  • For season tickets a refund will be effected if the ticket has been used for less than 20 days. The refund will be 1/20 of the (discounted) ticket price multiplied by the number of days of skiing not used – with an upper limit of 20 days. The refund amount will be limited to 75% of the (discounted) purchase price.

Refund amount = Ticket price/20 x (20 – days used)

  • A refund will only be made when the facilities have been closed by the authorities, when the border has been closed, or if there is an advisory warning against travel, and when this means that it is not possible to provide offers during the validity period for the respective ski pass in the ski areas and ski area members.
  • Refund amounts for multi-day ski passes are to be made in writing by 15th May 2021, and for season tickets, by 30th September 2021, to the respective sales point. After these dates there is no right to refund.
