Edmund-Graf Hütte lies at the foot of the Hohen Riffler in the Verwall group in the district of Kappl and you can hike to it from Kappl as well as from Pettneu in Stanzertal.
The lodge is in a somewhat secluded, very idyllic location at a little lake in the high Alpine terrain at 2408m and radiates unadulterated Alpine lodge style.
It is a hike of several hours from the Dias mountain station; however, you soon forget the exertions of the ascent when you get to enjoy the fantastic view.
On nice days the view extends right to the Ortler group, into Allgäu and to the Eastern Alps in Switzerland.
From Edmund-Graf Hütte it is possible to climb to the Hohen Riffler at 3168m - one of the loveliest viewing mountains in Tyrol!
