Open from 08. June to mid of September 2022
Sesslad Alpe is steeped in tradition and is located at some 1900m altitude, around an hour’s walk from the Dias mountain station heading for the Niederelbe Hütte, making it a very welcome place to stop-off for refreshments.
In early summer, when the meadows are lush and lots of mountain herbs are flourishing, animals linger on the lower Sesslad Alpe.
A little later on the route goes uphill, to the upper Sesslad Alpe, where, among other treats, there is home-made cheese, curds and milk to sample.
Nature knows no stress - not up here anyway!
