For many children, it's the moment they've been waiting for: their first real trip up the mountain – on a chairlift!
The blue No. 5 in Kappl, also known as the Almabfahrt, is the perfect "first big slope" for slightly advanced young skiers, with an impressive length of 7 kilometres.
The first ride on the chairlift – an unforgettable experience
Before heading down the Almabfahrt slope, we take the Alblitt 4-seater chairlift up the mountain for the very first time. This is often a huge milestone for children: The lift is spacious, quiet and conveys a feeling of safety – and the view beats anything you have seen so far in the practice area below. Even the lift ride brings a sparkle to your eyes and fills you with anticipation for the adventure that awaits at the top.
7,000 metres of fun, variety and a real sense of freedom
Once you reach the top, the descent begins on a wide, winding and wonderfully varied slope where children can really get into the flow.
The blue No. 5 is perfect for families whose young skiers are already confident on blue to red slopes and are looking forward to new challenges.
What children particularly love about the Almabfahrt:
- wide slopes for safe turns
- winding sections that are really fun
- varied passages – never boring
- small shortcuts that create an adventurous atmosphere
- a few slightly steeper sections that are perfect for little tests of courage
And best of all: the view along the route is magnificent – much more impressive than down in the practice area.
A wonderful destination: back to Sunny Mountain Kinderland
The Almabfahrt run leads directly back to Sunny Mountain Kinderland, the ideal place for a break, a game or another round in the practice area for younger siblings.
