The Lattenabfahrt starts just below the Alblittköpfe mountain ridge at around 2,700 metres above sea level. The views make an impression right from the start: The Paznaun valley stretches out below, the mountains open up ahead, and the first turns feel light and free.
Further down, the character of the slope changes. The skiing becomes more rhythmic and requires more technique while still maintaining a natural flow. This section shows what makes the Lattenabfahrt so special: It is long, challenging and varied, while still leaving plenty of room to enjoy the descent.
The final section continues towards the valley past snow-covered mountain faces, bringing you closer to Kappl with every turn. By the end, you have covered eight kilometres and almost 1,500 metres in altitude, with plenty of memorable skiing along the way. And there is a good chance you will want to head straight back up for another run.
