Low-pressure systems are pushing from the Atlantic towards the Mediterranean region. This will continue to trigger foehn winds from the south in the Alpine region, leading to persistently changeable weather conditions. From Wednesday to Thursday, however, disruptive influences will temporarily mix into the weather pattern again. The weather development for Wednesday is still quite uncertain in detail, with foehn winds and disruptive influences vying for dominance. A weak southerly orographic lift will develop over the main Alpine ridge. By Thursday, thick clouds and some precipitation will prevail. The snow line will drop to 1000 meters above sea level. At the same time, temperatures will drop slightly again. On Friday, the heavy cloud cover will remain, but precipitation will no longer be an issue. The weekend weather, on the other hand, looks much better. With a slight southerly foehn returning, there will be a pleasant mix of sun and clouds.
