We will start the new week with a rainy and very windy west to northwesterly flow. A warm front will reach us on Monday night, followed by a cold front on Monday itself. A very weather-active cold front will reach us on Tuesday. After each of the individual front systems has passed, there may be some breaks in the clouds over the larger inner Alpine valleys, but the classic west and northwesterly barrier areas will remain shrouded in dust clouds and further precipitation. In these regions, precipitation will therefore be quite heavy until Tuesday. The snow line will be at 1000 meters above sea level on Monday, dropping to low valley locations on Tuesday. Wednesday will bring a temporary improvement with some sunshine and persistently cold winter temperatures. A weak warm front will pass us by with only a little precipitation on Thursday. The snow line will rise briefly to 1200 meters above sea level. Significantly colder air will follow from the north towards Friday. This air mass will dry out considerably, and sunshine will dominate the sky.
